As a young Alaskan native artist Alana Moses has been working towards getting her bachelors degree in Art. She is concentrating in metalsmithing and jewelry making, but often works in a diverse array of artistic mediums. Outside of making both beaded and metal jewelry she is a seamstress, printmaker, and painter. Alana draws inspiration from her time growing up here in Alaska surrounded by her Yup’ik, Cup’ik, Iñupiaq, and Koyukon Athabascan cultures. She often incorporates elements of her culture that have been modernized to reflect how growing up in the city while still being connected to her Alaskan Native community has impacted her. Throughout the years she has been creating art she has found her style to be whimsical even when depicting feelings of grief. Alana’s regalia she handcrafted has been showcased as two fashion shows for her talent in the 2025 Miss Fairbanks Native Association Pageant and the 2025 Miss World Eskimo Indian Olympics where she had 10 models.
